Voces Masculinas: Joe Strummer

Joe Strummer versiona una de mis canciones preferidas de Bob Marley & The Wailers, «Redemption song», tema grabado en acústico y que cierra el álbum Uprising, el último publicado por el jamaicano.

Líder de The Clash y pionero a la hora de introducir los ritmos del reggae en el punk británico, Strummer siempre destacó por su conciencia social y por concebir el rock como un vehículo de denucia. Incluso al frente de los Mescaleros, banda junto a la que grabó sus últimos trabajos, el británico no dejó nunca de agitar conciencias y de reivindicar el espíritu revolucionario del rock.
